Nya regler i ES-OPEN

Dear friends,

ES hams invite you to participate in ES OPEN HF Championship 2016 that will take place on Saturday, April 16th, from 0500 to 0859 UTC on 40m and 80m in SSB and CW at the same time!

International winners get special trophies from ERAU plus all country winners will be awarded. There is also a special LP trophy.

Please check the results and rules from www.erau.ee:

Reacting to the feedback we have modified the rules to allow more QSOs with ES stations and make it simpler!

The contest consists of 4 equal one hour periods where you can work any ES station twice on both bands (once in CW and once in SSB). Thus maximum 16 times in total during the contest for mixed mode entrants. For single mode entrants it is maximum 8 QSOs as previously.

Foreign stations can work ES stations only and multipliers are ES region prefixes (0 to 9) on both bands and modes. So 20 for CW/SSB and 40 for mixed mode.

CW QSOs give 2 points and SSB 1 point. Report is RST + QSO serial number.

Text format logs (cabrillo strongly preferred) should be uploaded at special webpage esopen.eu (see claimed scores and statistics also from there after the contest) or sent to esopen@erau.ee by May 1st.

On ERAU web page you will find instructions how to use Win-Test, SD by EI5DI, TRLog and N1MM logging software! N1MM, SD and UcxLog support ES Open directly. In Win-Test you can use just some mixed mode contest like RDXC and make 4 different log files – one for every hour to count dupes correctly. Add the cabrillo files up to one file later.

CU and GL in the contest!
